Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar, Dehradun celebrated Sanskrit Saptah from 22nd to 28 th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour.
As part of the celebrations, a special cultural programme was organised on 26 thAugust 2026. The event commenced with the auspicious Saraswati Vandana and Dhanwantari Vandana, presented by the BAMS Batch 2025 students. The invocation created a serene and spiritually enriching atmosphere and beautifully reflected the close association of Sanskrit with Ayurveda and Indian knowledge traditions.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director UMCAR and Dr. Vibhooti Chandrakar, Principal, UMCAR whose presence added significance and encouragement to the celebrations. The event was skilfully anchored by BAMS Students Ms. Ashlesha and Ms. Monishkha.
The cultural programme featured a vibrant array of performances by the BAMS Batch 2025 students. Various group dances, solo performances, speeches, and singing presentations showcased the students’ creativity, talent, confidence, and appreciation for Sanskrit and Indian culture.
The active participation of all faculty members made the celebration even more meaningful and memorable. Their presence and encouragement inspired the students to actively engage with Sanskrit and appreciate its relevance in the field of Ayurveda.
The programme concluded with motivating words from Dr. Nandini Mishra, Academic Coordinator, UMCAR who encouraged the students to preserve, promote, and incorporate Sanskrit into their academic and professional journey. The event came to a heartfelt conclusion with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Deepak Prasad Raturi, Assistant Professor, Sanskrit who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
