Nasha Mukti Pratigya Maha Abhiyan

Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda & Research, Premnagar, Dehradun organized “Nasha Mukti Pratigya Maha Abhiyan” on 18th August 2026 in association with Brahma Kumaris, Dehradun, and the Anti-Drug Cell, Uttaranchal University, with the objective of promoting a Drug-Free India and creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean, Law College of Dehradun, and Chairperson, Anti-Drug Cell, Uttaranchal University. He extended a cordial welcome to the distinguished guests from Brahma Kumaris, Dehradun, including Brahma Kumari Deepsikha Ji, Brahma Kumari Swati Ji, and Brahma Kumari Muskaan Ji. The dignitaries from Brahma Kumaris shared their valuable insights, experiences, and messages on the detrimental effects of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of self-discipline, positive thinking, and collective responsibility in building a drug-free society and a healthier nation. 

 The awareness session was followed by a Nasha Mukti Pratigya (Drug-Free India Pledge) ceremony, during which students of UMCAR Batch 2025 along with the faculty members collectively pledged to stay away from drugs and support efforts aimed at preventing drug abuse in society. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, Uttaranchal Universty. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the dignitaries from Brahma Kumaris, university leadership, faculty members, staff, and students for their active participation and valuable contribution to the successful organization of the campaign. 

The successful execution of the event was made possible under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR and Dr.Vibhooti Chandrakar, Principal, UMCAR.
