On the occasion of NSS Foundation Day, Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Premnagar ,Dehradun in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Uttaranchal University, organized a Blood Donation Camp on September 24th, 2026. The camp was conducted in association with City Blood Bank, Subharti Hospital, Doon Hospital, and Dev Bhoomi Blood Bank.
The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of BAMS and students from various schools of Uttaranchal University. The students came forward voluntarily to donate blood and support the noble cause of saving lives. The initiative also helped create awareness among young people about the importance of regular and voluntary blood donation.
Faculty members and hospital staff also actively participated in the camp and encouraged students to contribute to the humanitarian initiative. Dr. Jyoti Ganer, Dr. Kanu Ohri, Dr. Nandini Mishra, Dr. Sunita,Fonia, Dr. Neha Bhatt etc along with other members of the hospital team, participated in the blood donation drive and demonstrated their commitment to community service.
The entire camp was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR and Dr. Vibhooti Chandrakar, Principal, UMCAR.Their leadership, along with the support of the medical teams from the associated blood banks and hospitals, ensured the smooth and systematic conduct of the camp and the proper care of the donors.
