Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar, Dehradun Celebrates Sanskrit Saptah, a week- long event dedicated to promote the ancient language of Sanskrit from 3rd to 9th August 2025. The program commenced with Deep Prajwalan, a sacred ceremony, performed by Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR and Dr. Ravi Joshi, Principal UMCAR.
The event was skillfully anchored by Ashlesa and Adwait, students of BAMS Batch 2024. The event aimed to promote the rich heritage of Sanskrit language and its significance in Ayurveda. The highlight of the event was the various performances by the students, showcasing their talents in solo songs, group songs, dances and shloka recitation, reflecting the cultural richness of Sanskrit heritage.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Prasad Raturi, Assistant Professor, Sanskrit expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and faculty members including Dr. Vibhooti Chandrakar, Dr. Rajeev, Dr. Vidya Rani Joshi, Dr. Nandini, Dr. Savita, Dr. Shivangi,,Dr. Preeti, Dr. Richa Bhatt etc who participated in the event.
