TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research in association with Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Uttaranchal University, Premnagar Dehradun participated in the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a 100-day TB elimination Awareness Program initiated by MoHFW and Ministry of Ayush, by organizing latent TB elimination Awareness Camp on 31 May 2025, at Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Panditwari, Dehradun

During the camp specialized doctors along with BAMS 1 professional students conducted informative sessions, screening of patients and educated them about the importance of early detection and timely treatment for latent tuberculosis. They also emphasized the integration of Ayurvedic management for supportive care and immunity enhancement in latent TB patients.

A notable contribution came from BAMS batch 2024 students Khushi, Mudita, Saumya and Ishita who participated in the event with great enthusiasm. They prepared informative posters and actively promoted Ayurveda-based preventive and curative approaches for latent TB.

The team of doctors and staff who participated in the campaign included Dr Ravi Joshi, Dr Sonali Purohit, Dr Satwinder Kaur, Dr Mudit, Dr Shivani, Dr Prerna, Mr Chandramohan, Mr Madhav. Mr Priyansh, Mr Amit, etc.

This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment towards public health and holistic integration of Ayurveda in National Health Programs.
