Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research hosted a Preventive and Promotive Ayurveda Health Campaign and Awareness Program at Law College of Uttaranchal University on 1 August 2024. The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by Dr Poonam Rawat, Principal Law College.
The event featured a presentation by Dr Ravi Joshi, Medical Superintendent, Principal UMCAR, who enlightened about the principles of Ayurveda, concepts of tridoshas and Prakriti or constitution.
He also shed light on Panchakarma, a five- fold detoxification process in Ayurveda that helps to maintain physical and mental health. He highlighted the importance of adopting a balanced lifestyle, as per Ayurvedic guidelines, to prevent diseases and promote overall wellness.
Dr Ravi Joshi showcased the facilities available at Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre including Ayurvedic treatments and Panchakarma facilities. He emphasized the institution’s commitment to provide comprehensive healthcare services, integrating modern medicine with Ayurvedic Wisdom.
Faculty members from Law College and UMCAR attended the event, including Dr Radhey Shyam Jha, Mr Naresh Semwal, Dr Amir, Dr Sonali, Dr Richa, Mr Madhav and Mr Priyansh.
