National Doctors’ Day 2025

Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar Dehradun celebrated National Doctors’ Day on 1 July 2025 with great enthusiasm, focusing on the theme ‘Behind the Mask- Who Heals the Healers’. The event honored the selfless service, dedication, and tireless efforts of doctors who always stand as frontline warriors of our society.

The program commenced with Diya lighting ceremony, led by Dr Ravi Joshi, Principal, UMCAR. This auspicious beginning set a soulful tone for the rest of the celebration.

Ms Ashlesha, a student of the BAMS batch of 2024, anchored the event with poise and enthusiasm, ensuring its smooth execution. A series of insightful speeches and heartfelt poems were presented by students including Saumya, Khusi, Mudita, Aishani, and Gaurangi Vansh, reflecting the immense role of doctors in shaping a healthier society. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking video presentation showcasing the significance of the iconic white coat, symbolizing purity, trust, and sacrifice.

Following this, several esteemed faculty members took the stage to express their thoughts and experiences. Dr Rajeev, Dr Shivangi, Dr Rupali Purohit, and Dr Komal shared powerful messages on the challenges faced by doctors, reinforcing the noble spirit of the profession.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Dr Deepak Prasad Raturi, Assistant Professor Sanskrit, who appreciated the participation of all faculty, staff and students in making the event memorable. The entire celebration was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR and Dr. Ravi Joshi Principal, UMCAR.
