On the occasion of Children’s Day, Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar, Dehradun in association with Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, organized a Free Pediatric Health Check-up Camp on 14th November 2025 at Shemrock School, Kehri Goan, Premnagar, Dehradun.
The camp aimed to promote the health and well-being of children by providing free medical consultations, health assessments, and awareness about Ayurvedic pediatric care. A large number of students benefited from the initiative, receiving medical attention and valuable health advice.
During the camp, Dr. Komal Dhiman (MD Balrog) educated parents and teachers about Swarnaprashan—an ancient Ayurvedic practice known to enhance immunity, memory, and overall development in children. Her interactive session highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare in nurturing healthy future generations.
Other doctors who actively contributed to the success of the camp included (Prof) Dr. Vibhooti Chandrakar( Senior Physician) and Dr. Shivam (Medical Officer) who conducted health check-ups and provided personalized guidance to the children and their parents.
The event reflected the institutions’ commitment to community health service and the Ayurvedic approach to holistic child care.
The camp was successfully conducted under the supervision of Dr. Amit Bhatt, Director UMCAR and Dr. Ravi Joshi, Principal UMCAR.
