Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research celebrated 9th Ayurveda day on the theme of ‘Ayurveda Innovations for Global Health’ on 29 October 2024. This event is celebrated on Dhanvantari Jayanti, the patron deity of Ayurveda.
The celebration began with a Hawan Pooja by Dr Deepak Shastri, invoking blessings for health and harmony. This auspicious start created a peaceful and spiritual ambiance, setting tone for a day of dedication to the Ayurvedic principles established by Lord Dhanvantari.
The event inaugurated by Shri Jitender Joshi, President and Mr Jagdish Joshi, Project Director, Uttaranchal University. The entire event conducted under the guidance of Dr Amit Bhatt, Campus Director Uttaranchal University and Dr Ravi Joshi, Principal UMCAR.
Faculty members from Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research and Uttaranchal University participated with great enthusiasm including Dr Vibhuti, Dr Savita, Dr Sonali, Dr Richa, Dr Amir, Dr Rupali, Dr Mudit, Dr Satwinder, Dr Priyanka, Mr Chandramohan, Mr Madhav, Mr Priyansh, Mr Tulsi, Mrs Shilpa. The Dhanvantari Diwas celebration at UMCAR was a meaningful tribute to Ayurveda’s timeless wisdom.
