Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research celebrated International Epilepsy Day on 10 February 2025 with an awareness program aimed at raising awareness about epilepsy.
The program was hosted by Ms Kritika, student of BAMS 2024-25, who welcomed the guests and initiated the program. The program commenced with a presentation delivered by students of BAMS Anushka, Isha, Adwait, Kashish, Aishani, Divyanshi, Juhi, Gaurangi, Kartik and Atulya. The presentation covered various aspects of the epilepsy, including its history, diagnosis, pathophysiology, treatment and Govt. policies. The students also shed light on perspective of Ayurveda on epilepsy.
The highlight of the program was a skit performance by the students, which effectively dispelled common myths associated with remedies and medication about epilepsy. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Saumya Gulati, who expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers and faculty members.
Faculty members along with all students of the BAMS, batch 2024-25, attended the program. The program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Amit Bhatt, Director UMCAR and Dr Ravi Joshi, Principal, UMCAR.
