The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Subharti Hospital Blood Bank organized a blood donation camp in association with Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre on 24 September 2024.The program was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, emphasizing the vital role of blood donation in saving lives.
A team of experts from Subharti Hospital’s Blood Bank including Dr Vrattika, Mrs Soni, Mr Vipul, Mr Deepak etc., played a pivotal role in camp’s success. Their expertise ensured a seamless and safe donation process. The event saw an overwhelming response from students, faculties and Staff, who came forward to donate blood. The NSS unit’s efforts resulted in collecting more than 200 units of blood.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr V K Srivastav, Dr Manoj Kumar Shukla and Dr Navneet Shukla. Their efforts were instrumental in mobilizing a large number of student volunteers, who helped with donor registration, guiding participants, and maintaining order throughout the event.
Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre also played an active role in the event with Dr Amit Bhatt, Campus Director, Uttaranchal University and his team contributing significantly to its success.
